How do your donations help?

The best way to support our sanctuary is through monetary donations, which are tax-deductible. Your contributions enable us to provide essential food, supplies, and veterinary care for our animals, as well as maintain our facilities. Veterinary care represents our highest cost, as many of the animals we rescue have had difficult pasts and require specialized attention. Additionally, a significant number of our residents are seniors, who often need more frequent and comprehensive veterinary care. Every dollar you donate directly impacts the lives of the animals in our care, allowing us to continue our mission of providing them with the love and support they deserve.
In addition to donations, we are excited to announce that we will be introducing volunteer opportunities in the coming months. Volunteering is a wonderful way to get involved and make a tangible difference in the lives of our animals. We encourage you to reach out with any questions about how you can help or to stay updated on our volunteer program. Thank you for helping us make a difference!

Berlin-A living testament to the power of your donations

Berlin, the Sanctuary's resident Manx kitten, embodies the incredible impact of community support and compassion. Rescued from neglect, Berlin faced significant health challenges, including pica-like behaviors that led to an urgent need for surgery at just 8 weeks old. Thanks to Animal Rescue of the Rockies and dedicated veterinarians, he received the critical care he needed, bringing joy to our lives with his playful spirit.

However, after a recent round of vaccinations, Berlin faced another health crisis, losing weight rapidly due to a foreign object lodged in his GI tract. With mounting medical expenses estimated at $2,700, we turned to our community for help. The resulting donations were vital, not only for Berlin’s care but for all the animals in our sanctuary.

Fortunately, after multiple vet visits and careful monitoring, Berlin's condition improved, avoiding the need for a second surgery. He is now back to his playful self, thriving and gaining weight once again. This experience has reaffirmed the power of asking for help and the kindness of our supporters. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to Berlin’s journey, showcasing how collective compassion can change lives.

Donors can see firsthand how their funds are allocated, from veterinary care to shelter improvements. We also encourage open communication, welcoming questions about how donations are utilized, ensuring that our supporters feel confident and informed about their contributions.
